Livermore Sanitation observes the following holidays:

Thanksgiving
Christmas
New Year's Day

Customers may experience a delay in service when a holiday falls on a weekday. During a holiday week, service preceding the holiday is unaffected. Customers whose regular service day falls on the holiday or after, however, will receive service a day late. For example, during Thanksgiving week, only customers with Thursday and Friday service are affected. Thursday customers will have their containers serviced on Friday. Holiday Tree Collection for Residents of Single-Family Homes
Livermore Sanitation will collect trees on your regular service day during the first two FULL weeks of January. Please remove the stand, all lights and decorations. Tall trees should be cut into pieces no longer than five feet. Please place your tree at the curb by 6 am. Note that flocked trees cannot be composted.
