Commercial Hazardous Waste Has Its Place… And it’s not inside any Livermore Sanitation collection bin.

Businesses are required to dispose of hazardous items safely and legally. Small businesses may be eligible to take certain hazardous items to Alameda County’s local collection facility.

The County accepts the following Hazardous items:

  • Solvents, flammable solids and liquids, and detergents.
  • Propane tanks and aerosol cans.
  • Car and truck products:
    • Motor Oil
    • Lubricants
    • Oil Filters
    • Antifreeze
  • Lawn care products:
    • Pesticides
    • Herbicides
    • Fungicides
    • Fertilizers
  • Paint and paint-related materials:
    • Stains
    • Varnishes
    • Roofing Tar
    • Adhesives
    • Joint Compounds
    • Other Petroleum-Based Products
  • Swimming Pool Chemicals
