Service Areas for Unincorporated Alameda County Residents
Garbage, recycling, and organics service requirements for unincorporated areas around the City of Livermore are established by the Alameda County Community Development Agency in accordance with State law.
There are two service areas within the unincorporated County:
- Mandatory Service Area – Properties in this area are required to have garbage, recycling, and organics service.
- Optional Service Area – Properties in this area may choose to subscribe to service.
Because some streets include both Mandatory and Optional segments, the service area for each address must be verified individually.
How to Confirm Your Service Area
Please call 925‑449‑7300 and we will confirm whether your address is in the Mandatory or Optional Service Area.
